Music Generation Collaboration

Music Generation educators nationwide have collaborated to bring you a remote recording of Thin Lizzy’s Dancing in The Moonlight! The aim of this project was to raise awareness of the music of Phil Lynott amongst a younger generation and to mark the release of ‘Phil Lynott: Songs for while I’m away’

The recording features Philp Cassidy (The Core Mayo) on drums alongside musicians from Music Generation Galway City, Music Generation Limerick City, Music Generation South Dublin, Music Generation Wicklow and Music Generation Waterford

There is also a suite of tutorials from all the performers.

Making Music Education Happen during the Pandemic!

Since the pandemic has struck we have strive to continue to provide both tuition for our students and a platform for our members to develop and share their musical talents!

Members of The Core have been recording special performance for The Core Lockdown Sessions whilst our team of tutors have made the switch to online tuition.

We cannot wait to get back in the studio to make music together but in the meantime we are working away behind the scenes to continue making making music education happen here in Mayo!
